Polinfra uses SitePodium to inform local residents, shop owners and the municipality about project developments in the redevelopment of Town Centre East.
This project mostly involves groundwork, sewerage, paving and green space. Both the director and the contractor take pictures and publish them on SitePodium. The project followers receive several updates a week.
- Higher levels of customer satisfaction in the Municipality of Rhenen.
- Higher brand awareness in Rhenen and its surroundings.
- Fewer complaints from local residents.
Experiences with SitePodium
“SitePodium gives us an easy and effective way of keeping up to date with the most recent project developments. We also follow the updates published by Polinfra, and we mostly see added value for local residents and shop owners. They feel more involved with the project, resulting in a lower number of complaints. Nowadays, it’s very important to clearly and frequently communicate with the project’s surrounding community. Communication is becoming an important factor in being awarded the most lucrative tenders. Price is an important factor too, but municipalities are starting to see more and more value in proper project communication.”
Kor Letens, Project Manager BOOT Engineers
“Groundwork and paving often meet resistance from local residents. The impact of these activities is usually hard to estimate beforehand. Much of the work takes place below the surface, which can give local residents an uncomfortable feeling. SitePodium is therefore an ideal tool to involve local residents during the project. They can follow along step-by-step with the project in a friendly and attractive way.”
Jeroen Veenstra, BOOT Engineers
“We enjoy using SitePodium. For redevelopment projects in a town centre, communication with the local community and shop owners is critical. SitePodium is a modern and attractive addition to the more traditional methods of communication such as letters and information sessions. SitePodium allows contractors to stay in touch with stakeholders during construction. We consistently publish updates and we know that the information we send is well-read. We see this when, for example, a project manager approaches a shop owner personally to share some updates. More and more often the response is “We already read that on SitePodium”. The app is very user-friendly. We are certainly going to use it for future projects and tenders to score extra points on area communication.”
